Das Ziel der vorliegenden Studie ist die Formulierung und Bewertung eines geeigneten transdermalen Polymerfilms vom Typ Matrix für Olmesartan Medoxomil unter Verwendung von zwei verschiedenen Polymerkombinationen, Eudragit RL 100 (E RL 100) und Hydroxyl Propyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC). Die Parameter der Vorformulierung wurden auf ihre Eignung zur Formulierung des transdermalen Polymerfilms untersucht. Der transdermale Polymerfilm wurde erfolgreich hergestellt und kritisch untersucht. Die Bewertungsparameter wie FTIR für die Kompatibilität des Medikaments mit dem Polymer, Rasterelektronenmikroskopie (SEM)-Fotos des vorbereiteten Films wurden gemacht, um das Verteilungsmuster des Medikaments zu sehen, physikalische Studien einschließlich Feuchtigkeitsgehalt, Feuchtigkeitsaufnahme, Ebenheit, um die Stabilität der Formulierungen zu untersuchen und In-vitro-Permeationsstudie wird in einer modifizierten Franz’s Diffusionszelle unter Verwendung von Rattenhautmembran und Zellophanmembran durchgeführt. Das erhaltene Ergebnis bestätigt, dass die Formulierung der Spezifikation bzw. den angegebenen Methoden entspricht. Basierend auf den oben genannten Beobachtungen kann vernünftigerweise geschlossen werden, dass E RL 100 & HPMC-Polymere die am besten geeigneten Polymere für die Entwicklung von TDDS von Olmesartan Medoxomil sind.
