Lo scopo del presente studio è quello di formulare e valutare un film polimerico transdermico di Olmesartan Medoxomil con due diverse combinazioni polimeriche, Eudragit RL 100 (E RL 100) e Hydroxyl Propyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC). I parametri di preformulazione sono stati valutati per la loro idoneità a formulare il film polimerico transdermico. Il film polimerico transdermico è stato preparato con successo e studiato criticamente. I parametri di valutazione come la FTIR per la compatibilità del farmaco con il polimero, le fotografie al microscopio elettronico a scansione (SEM) del film preparato sono state scattate per vedere il modello di distribuzione del farmaco, gli studi fisici tra cui il contenuto di umidità, l’assorbimento dell’umidità, la planarità per studiare la stabilità delle formulazioni e lo studio di permeazione in vitro è stato condotto in una cella di diffusione di Franz modificata utilizzando la membrana della pelle di ratto e la membrana di cellophane. Il risultato ottenuto conferma che è conforme alla specifica o ai metodi riportati. Sulla base delle osservazioni di cui sopra, si può ragionevolmente concludere che i polimeri E RL 100 & HPMC sono i polimeri più adatti per lo sviluppo di TDDS di Olmesartan Medoxomil.
