L’objectif de cette étude est de formuler et d’évaluer un film polymère transdermique de type matrice approprié d’Olmesartan Medoxomil en utilisant deux combinaisons polymères différentes, Eudragit RL 100 (E RL 100) et Hydroxyl Propyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC). Les paramètres de préformulation ont été évalués pour déterminer s’ils convenaient à la formulation d’un film polymère transdermique. Le film polymère transdermique a été préparé avec succès et a fait l’objet d’une étude critique. Les paramètres d’évaluation tels que la FTIR pour la compatibilité du médicament avec le polymère, les photographies au microscope électronique à balayage (MEB) du film préparé ont été prises pour voir le schéma de distribution du médicament, les études physiques incluant la teneur en humidité, l’absorption d’humidité, la planéité pour étudier la stabilité des formulations et l’étude de perméation in vitro sont menées dans une cellule de diffusion de Franz modifiée en utilisant une membrane de peau de rat et une membrane de cellophane. Le résultat obtenu confirme qu’il est conforme aux spécifications ou aux méthodes déclarées. Sur la base des observations ci-dessus, on peut raisonnablement conclure que les polymères E RL 100 & HPMC sont les polymères les mieux adaptés pour le développement du TDDS de l’Olmesartan Medoxomil.
