La traduzione letteraria in arabo è rimasta una traduzione interminabilmente 'etnocentrica', sia nella sua economia che nel suo entusiasmo. In al-Fadîla d’al-Manfaloûti, si tratta di una versione 'arabizzata' di Paul et Virginie di Bernardin de Saint-Pierre. Possiamo notare che dalla prima lettura di questa traduzione manca qualcosa: una forma sufficientemente tensiva, dovuta a una differenza di sistema e di lingua.
