This book is a follow up to All Madly Educational, 2015. It covers the period 1959 to 1970. The Third Class Ticket of the title refers to my dismal Classics degree from Newcastle and Paradise was gained in the wonderful post graduate year at Loughborough (1962-3) where  I spent my days playing (studying) sport all day long at the nation's expense. This led to my first teaching post in  Buckinghamshire and football in the Isthmian and Athenian Leagues. Of course it was not without its crazy events viz. falling down a field drain at night in Italy; losing a YMCA member plus passport en route to Mayrhofen; nearly being savaged by a guard dog at Slough Stadium.
