W tamtych miesiącach motto prezydenta Brazylii José Sarneya tudo pelo social (wszystko dla społeczeństwa) źle rządziło tkanką społeczną naszego kraju. Dlatego gra słów między tytułem kolumny a celem społecznym prezydenta została ironicznie potwierdzona. Od stycznia do maja 1990 r. kolumna zmieniła nazwę. Została przemianowana na 90 itLetras. Było to nawiązanie i hołd dla lat dziewięćdziesiątych i produkcji literackiej dekady. W kolumnie gazety moja lektura i krytyka - niedoskonała - koncentrowała się na literaturze lokalnej, krajowej i międzynarodowej.
