Als Sprachen, die am Rande des antiken Römischen Reiches entstanden sind und dort gesprochen wurden, weisen Portugiesisch und Rumänisch einige Gemeinsamkeiten auf (vor allem auf phonetischer Ebene), die sie von anderen 'Schwestersprachen' derselben romanischen Sprachfamilie unterscheiden. Aber ist es möglich, von dieser Ähnlichkeit auf allen Ebenen der Sprache zu sprechen? Könnte man davon ausgehen, dass das System der Anredeformen eines dieser gemeinsamen Merkmale darstellt? Ausgehend von dieser Frage zielt die vorliegende Studie darauf ab, das Problem der Anredeformen im Portugiesischen und Rumänischen aus einer translingualen Perspektive zu analysieren und die wichtigsten Übersetzungsprobleme, die sie aufwerfen, sowie deren Lösungen zu finden.
