Two Questions

Alice, a young woman from Sweden, flees the materialistic Western world to discover “herself” and the “meaning of life”. She embarks on an open-ended voyage to Latin America. She meets a man in Buenos Aires who asks her to deliver a gift to his friend Rupert in Santiago de Chile. Rupert invites Alice to stay in his house, where the two spend a tumultuous week together. Rupert has to leave on a business trip. While away, he admits having fallen in love with Alice. He decides to ask her to stay. Upon his return there is a note waiting for him: ‘I’m gone.
