Le réarrangement du texte, des images et des symboles dans la poésie visuelle est le principal dispositif ou technique dont dépend le poète visuel. Cette thèse illustre pourquoi le poète utilise ce réarrangement non traditionnel du texte, des images et des symboles dans sa poésie, comment il peut transmettre ses points de vue et comment le lecteur peut recevoir le message du poète. Par conséquent, le poème visuel doit être perçu sous la forme voulue par le poète. La présente thèse tente également d’illustrer les différences majeures entre la poésie visuelle et le vers traditionnel ; en outre, elle jette une ombre sur les mouvements d’avant-garde qui ont clairement affecté la poésie visuelle.
