La riorganizzazione del testo, delle immagini e dei simboli nella poesia visiva è il principale dispositivo o tecnica da cui dipende il poeta visivo. Questa tesi illustra perché il poeta utilizza questa disposizione non tradizionale del testo, delle immagini e dei simboli nella sua poesia, come può trasmettere i suoi punti di vista e come il lettore può cogliere il messaggio del poeta. Di conseguenza, la poesia visiva deve essere vista nella forma in cui il poeta la intende. La presente tesi cerca anche di illustrare le principali differenze tra la poesia visiva e i versi tradizionali; inoltre, getta un’ombra sui movimenti d’avanguardia che hanno chiaramente influenzato la poesia visiva.
