Das allgemeine Ziel dieses Buches ist es, die Schwierigkeiten aufzuzeigen, mit denen Fachkräfte aus dem Bereich Executive Secretarial (ES) beim Eintritt in den Arbeitsmarkt konfrontiert sind. Zu diesem Zweck wurde eine qualitative Studie durchgeführt, in der ausführliche Interviews mit Sekretariatsfachkräften und Personalverantwortlichen geführt wurden. Nach der Analyse der Daten wurde festgestellt, dass die Schwierigkeiten, mit denen Fachkräfte der ES beim Eintritt in den Arbeitsmarkt konfrontiert sind, folgende sind: Mangel an freien Stellen für MAB in öffentlichen Ausschreibungen, Mangel an freien Stellen im privaten Sektor, Mangel an angemessener Vergütung für den Beruf, Mangel an Anerkennung durch Manager, Mangel an Wissen über die Aufgaben und auch ein anspruchsvoller, wettbewerbsintensiver Markt.
