Quem é este homem sem consciência que corta árvores ao longo das artérias principais, limpa espaços verdes para edifícios, desvia as finanças atribuídas ao reflorestamento urbano sem estudos prévios de impacto ambiental? A esta pergunta, um homem que acaba de passar uma semana em Kinshasa pode facilmente segurar a resposta na sua boca: 'o próprio congolês'.A República Democrática do Congo é um grande país no centro de África, descrito como um escândalo geológico, ambiental e de água doce, e merece cidades modernas, verdes e atractivas, mas a liderança a todos os níveis não está a imbuir um sistema forte de governação, especialmente visionário, para embelezar as principais artérias, Luta contra as alterações climáticas e/ou ilhas de calor nas zonas urbanas, criando microclimas nas principais avenidas da cidade-província de Kinshasa, por outro lado, a evolução negativa dos espaços verdes, jardins botânicos e zoológicos não contribui para o desenvolvimento da cidade.
