Celem niniejszej pracy było określenie zdolności adsorpcyjnej pozostałości oleju i oleju napędowego z trzech odpadów organicznych generowanych w rejonie Pucallpa, jako realnej alternatywy w wykorzystaniu odpadów. Badania eksperymentalne przeprowadzono na Uniwersytecie Narodowym w Ucayali w obiektach Laboratorium Przemian Chemicznych Lasu, w dystrykcie Callería, prowincji Coronel Portillo, departamencie Ucayali, stosując kanadyjską metodę ASTMF-12 w jej części 'Krótki test adsorpcji oleju'. Trzy rodzaje odpadów organicznych (łuski ryżu, trociny i pióra kurze) zostały zebrane z działalności przemysłowej w rejonie Pucallpa; zostały one poddane kondycjonowaniu i zmagazynowane do dalszych badań, a także pozyskano dwa konwencjonalne adsorbenty użyte do porównania. W celu określenia zdolności adsorpcyjnej oceniano dwa czynniki: rodzaj pozostałości (łuska ryżowa, trociny i pióra kurze) oraz czas kontaktu z olejem resztkowym i napędowym (10, 15 i 20 minut). Wyniki badań wykazały, że każdy rodzaj pozostałości charakteryzował się innym mechanizmem adsorpcji i innym czasem.
