L’obiettivo di questo studio è stato quello di determinare la capacità di adsorbimento di olio residuo e diesel di tre rifiuti organici generati nella zona di Pucallpa, come una valida alternativa nell’uso dei rifiuti. Lo sviluppo sperimentale è stato effettuato presso l’Università Nazionale di Ucayali nelle strutture del Laboratorio di Trasformazione Chimica Forestale, nel Distretto di Callería, Provincia di Coronel Portillo, Dipartimento di Ucayali, utilizzando il metodo canadese ASTMF-12 nella sua sezione 'Oil adsorption short test'. Tre tipi di rifiuti organici (lolla di riso, segatura e piume di pollo) sono stati raccolti da attività industriali nella zona di Pucallpa; questi sono stati condizionati e conservati per i successivi test, e sono stati acquisiti anche due adsorbenti convenzionali usati per il confronto. Per determinare la capacità di adsorbimento, sono stati valutati due fattori: il tipo di residuo (lolla di riso, segatura e piuma di pollo) e il tempo di contatto con l’olio residuo e il diesel (10, 15 e 20 minuti). I risultati hanno indicato che ogni tipo di residuo ha presentato meccanismi di adsorbimento diversi e tempi diversi.
