È stato sviluppato un nuovo tipo di interferometro che utilizza il principio della divisione meccanica del fascio. Con il suo aiuto, è stata osservata sperimentalmente la costante di tempo della lunghezza d’onda del raggio laser, che non dipende dalla velocità del generatore o dello specchio che si muove lungo la legge armonica. La combinazione di questo nuovo effetto con il noto effetto Doppler indica la classica somma della velocità della luce in questo caso con la velocità della sua sorgente, che viola il principio di invarianza della velocità della luce della teoria della relatività. Grazie all’effetto rilevato, l’uso di un interferometro sviluppato nel radar passivo apre nuove prospettive di sviluppo.
