Le faible niveau de compréhension de la lecture est devenu l’un des problèmes les plus complexes auxquels est confronté le système éducatif colombien. Les résultats des tests Saber Pro ou de l’examen de la qualité de l’enseignement supérieur (ECAES), les rapports du système national d’information sur l’éducation (Sistema Nacional de Información Educativo) en témoignent. Les résultats montrent un niveau de compréhension littérale dans la lecture des textes et des difficultés dans l’inférence et la lecture critique ; les stratégies traditionnelles utilisées pour améliorer les niveaux de compréhension de la lecture démontrent leur faible efficacité et efficience ; il est également prouvé que les contributions métacognitives ne sont pas prises en compte pour l’intervention des processus cognitifs afin de développer les compétences de lecture. La proposition neuropédagogique est structurée en 10 activités pour renforcer les fonctions exécutives en classe afin d’améliorer les niveaux de compréhension de la lecture en se basant sur le développement du cerveau.
