Questo studio si concentra sull’interferenza della classe politica nella direzione della scuola pubblica secondaria superiore nel distretto senatoriale di Rivers Sud-Est dello Stato di Rivers. Lo studio ha adottato un disegno di ricerca descrittivo. La popolazione comprendeva 234 intervistati (78 presidi, 78 vicepresidi e 78 accademici). Per selezionare la popolazione è stato utilizzato il censimento. Per la raccolta dei dati è stato utilizzato un questionario. L’affidabilità dello strumento è stata ottenuta utilizzando il metodo statistico test-retest. Il questionario è stato somministrato a 20 presidi di scuola secondaria superiore; l’indice di affidabilità di 0,739 e 0,81 è stato ottenuto attraverso la statistica della correlazione prodotto-momento di Pearson. La media e la deviazione standard sono state utilizzate per rispondere alle domande di ricerca 1-4, mentre il test t indipendente è stato utilizzato per testare le ipotesi a un livello di significatività di 0,05 alfa. Dai risultati, non è emersa una differenza significativa tra le valutazioni medie dei presidi e dei vicepresidi in merito all’interferenza della politica sulla nomina, la promozione e il distacco del personale, ecc. Lo studio conclude che il governo dovrebbe definire criteri accettabili per la nomina dei presidi, al fine di garantire una corretta gestione delle scuole.
