Sintesi: l’obiettivo del nostro lavoro è stato quello di intraprendere un approccio scientifico allo sviluppo della foresta di Znadia e Gaoua in un parco ecologico. Il lavoro è consistito innanzitutto nel raccogliere il maggior numero di informazioni possibili sul sito, per poi effettuare uno studio analitico utilizzando le immagini satellitari Landsat 5&7 e Spot-5 e valutare così l’ambiente di questi boschi. I risultati ottenuti mostrano una significativa espansione urbana nelle vicinanze della foresta di Gaoua e una progressiva diminuzione della copertura vegetale nella foresta di Znadia. In questo contesto, è stato elaborato un piano di sviluppo per valorizzare questi due siti, al fine di attirare gli abitanti della città in un luogo di relax e svago e sperare nella loro partecipazione alla tutela del patrimonio.
