Este estudo visa estimar uma função de procura de importação e oferta de exportação para a Costa do Marfim. A estimativa econométrica foi realizada utilizando o modelo ARDL em dados anuais da base de dados do Banco Mundial de 1985 a 2021. Os resultados mostram que o rendimento real é um factor muito importante na procura de importação e oferta de exportação da Costa do Marfim porque, a curto prazo, um aumento do rendimento real leva a um aumento mais do que proporcional das importações e exportações da Costa do Marfim. A longo prazo, os rendimentos reais parecem inelásticos à procura de importação e oferta de exportação. Os preços relativos são inelásticos à procura de importação e à oferta de exportação a curto e longo prazo. No entanto, um aumento dos preços relativos prejudica as importações e favorece as exportações da Costa do Marfim. Recomendamos que os responsáveis políticos da Costa do Marfim encorajem e promovam as exportações da Costa do Marfim e promovam a procura de importação de bens de capital para a indústria agro-alimentar.
