Il neomicinsolfato è un antibiotico a spettro aperto a base di aminoglicosidi, un agente antibatterico utilizzato per il trattamento delle infezioni oculari. Il diclofenac sodico è un agente FANS nel trattamento dell’occhio che riduce il gonfiore, il dolore e la sensibilità alla luce dopo un intervento di cataratta o di chirurgia corneale. è stato formulato come gocce oculari in situ che formano un gel utilizzando polimeri come il carbopol940 come agente gelificante in combinazione con conservanti adeguati.Si tratta di un nuovo approccio per migliorare il tempo di permanenza dell’instillazione oculare e aumentare la biodisponibilità, il rilascio prolungato e prolungato del farmaco.Importante è anche la facilità di somministrazione offerta e la riduzione della frequenza di somministrazione, che comporta una migliore accettazione e comprensione da parte del paziente.
