Ziel dieser Studie war es, die Auswirkungen von Action Bitters auf die männliche Fruchtbarkeit zu bestimmen, indem die Auswirkungen auf die Spermienqualität (Spermienmorphologie und Spermienzahl) bewertet wurden. Um den Gesundheitszustand der verwendeten Mäuse zu überwachen, wurden die Auswirkungen der Aktionsbitter auf ihr Körpergewicht und die Sterblichkeitsrate wöchentlich bewertet. 30 männliche Albinomäuse wurden zu gleichen Teilen in sechs Gruppen aufgeteilt. Jeder Gruppe von Mäusen wurden 35 Tage lang je nach Körpergewicht unterschiedliche Konzentrationen der Aktionsbitter (0-10%) verabreicht. Am 36. Tag wurden die Mäuse geopfert und die Spermien aus den Nebenhoden gewonnen. Es bestand eine umgekehrte Beziehung zwischen dem Körpergewicht und der Konzentration von Action Bitters.
