La mangue (Mangifera indica L.) est l’un des fruits tropicaux les plus anciens et les plus appréciés au monde. Elle est considérée à juste titre comme le 'roi des fruits' dans le monde tropical et est cultivée dans plus de 100 pays. L’Inde est le plus grand producteur et consommateur de mangues. La mangue est la principale culture fruitière du Gujarat et de la région de Saurashtra. Les principales zones de culture de la mangue sont Valsad et, dans le Saurashtra, Talala (Gir) et Vanthali dans le district de Junagadh, Dhari dans le district d’Amreli et Mahuva dans le district de Bhavanagar. Dans la région de Saurashtra au Gujarat, les agriculteurs cultivent principalement la variété de mangue Kesar et sont confrontés à des problèmes de floraison alternée et de floraison tardive chez les manguiers. L’objectif de cette étude est de déterminer comment les agriculteurs peuvent surmonter leurs problèmes dans la culture de la mangue.
