Educational success and professional growth go hand in hand. Success and growth require focus and the abilities to create goals, organize thoughts, and manage time. Success and growth also require strong verbal and written communication skills, development of strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to reflect on one’s current situation. Your Educational Success (YES) provides the foundation necessary to achieve success. YES strengthens grammar, math and life skills necessary for academic and professional achievement. Whether you are getting ready to return to school or are looking to advance professionally, YES can be your first step on the path to success. Leticia Colon de Mejias is an accomplished educator and author. Her passion for service through education began when she had the opportunity to walk on fire. Fire walking helped Leticia recognize her self-imposed fears and limitations. It opened her world up to the abundance of possibilities. Most of us spend our lives never really facing the things we fear. Fire walking helped Leticia empower herself, conquer her fears and move toward her goals. While working as the educational coordinator for Hartford Hospital, Leticia discovered a common thread among students. She found that students wanted to succeed but were held back by their own fears or lack of knowledge on how to begin, how to set goals, and how to follow their dream to completion. This led Leticia to develop educational programs that have been utilized by schools and businesses alike. 3
