Blake Langford returns to his family home in London after the death of his mother. As he sorts through her possessions, he discovers an old photo of her with a man he does not recognise from many years ago. As he begins to dig deeper into his family’s past, conflicting stories lead to a young couple who went missing over 70 years ago. When a dog walker discovers a body of a young woman half way out of a grave, Blake has many unanswered questions for an undertaker who is not willing to cooperate and a corpse that may link back to his own family in ways he never expected.
