I pazienti totalmente edentuli con grande riassorbimento osseo nella mandibola presentano un problema terapeutico significativo per la riabilitazione protesica, poiché in molti casi non è possibile ottenere la stabilità della protesi. Pertanto, la riabilitazione di questi individui con protesi totali convenzionali potrebbe non risolvere i problemi, sia funzionali che psicologici. Nello studio del presente lavoro, l’autore valuta l’impatto sulla salute orale in pazienti che utilizzavano protesi totali inferiori convenzionali dopo aver utilizzato un modello di protesi overdenture con lo scopo di utilizzarle in SUS.
