Este libro no es un manual ni un informe. Se trata del registro y reflexión en torno a las acciones realizadas por la protección de la salud mental de los tres estamentos de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, llevadas a cabo durante la pandemia de COVID-19, entre los años 2021 y 2023. Dado que el libro no tiene una identidad única, se corre el peligro de que genere el horror de un imbunche. Sin embargo, la opción del formato, podríamos decir “híbrido”, no solo hace un guiño a uno de los legados que nos dejó la pandemia, sino que también reconoce lo titánico de la tarea. El libro pretende responder con un modelo complejo a un problema que nos demandó trabajar en diversos niveles de concreción, con diversas poblaciones y muy disímiles expectativas. También esperamos que resulte atractivo para distintos tipos de lectores y lectoras. Quienes busquen actividades para trabajar el tema de la salud mental en sus instituciones, encontrarán aquí actividades que pueden replicar o mejorar. Quienes quieran tratar de entender el tema de la salud mental al interior de una universidad, podrán leer reflexiones desde distintos campos teóricos. Y para quienes estén escasos/as de tiempo, pueden pasar directamente al esquema final donde hay propuestas de soluciones a problemas más comunes de lo que quisiéramos aceptar. 10
