El personaje principal tiene dudas de su orientación sexual y su mejor amigo le ayuda a encontrarse consigo mismo. Es bonito ver como se van despejando dudas y evolucionan los personajes en torno a madurez y a la tolerancia entre ellos.La idea principal de la novela es abordar el tema de la homosexualidad en el deporte, que está mal vista por la sociedad. Todas personas tienen el derecho de mostrarse tal y como son, nada de esconderse por culpa de gente intolerante. Suceden muchas cosas en el vestuario del equipo de baloncesto que son importantes para la solución de la trama. El respeto entre todos tiene que primar para que nadie se sienta coaccionado en una sociedad donde no se respeta la orientación sexual de muchas personas. 10
