Cette étude vise à analyser les stratégies narratives qui permettent la représentation de différents aspects du grotesque dans le roman Romance negro e outras histórias de Rubem Fonseca, en proposant de considérer le grotesque comme un genre discursif, une esthétique littéraire, une attitude et une pratique culturelle, opérant à partir de deux voies principales : le grotesque en tant que représentation esthétique prédominante à l’époque contemporaine et le grotesque en tant que forme de transgression des codes sociaux en vigueur dans la société capitaliste moderne.
