Cybermobbing ist nach wie vor eine große Herausforderung in Schulen. Um dieses Problem anzugehen, ist eine umfassende Bewertung der Kinderschutzpolitik des Bildungsministeriums erforderlich. Daher wurde diese qualitative Fallstudie im Bezirk Margosatubig im Süden der Philippinen durchgeführt, um herauszufinden, wie die Schule mit Cybermobbing-Vorfällen umgeht und Präventionsmaßnahmen in ihre Programme integriert. Ausgewählte Teilnehmer, darunter der Schulleiter, der zuständige Schulberater und Lehrer, wurden gezielt befragt. Die Ergebnisse zeigten, dass die Schule Cybermobbing in erster Linie im Rahmen ihrer Gender- und Entwicklungsprogramme behandelt, die jährliche Orientierungssitzungen und Seminare für Eltern und Lehrer umfassen. Das Thema Cybermobbing wurde auch in die Lehrpläne Edukasyon Sa Pagpapakatao (Werteerziehung) und Araling Panlipunan (Sozialkunde) integriert. Die Lehrkräfte mussten anekdotische Aufzeichnungen führen, um gemeldete Fälle von Cybermobbing zu verfolgen. Die Studie zeigte jedoch auch Herausforderungen auf, wie z.B. die geringe Teilnahme von Eltern an Orientierungsveranstaltungen und Seminaren, was die Notwendigkeit eines stärkeren Engagements der Interessengruppen unterstreicht, da dies zu einer effektiveren Überwachung des Themas führen könnte.
