It is a year after the failed attempt by Saif Megrahi, son of the executed dictator Colonel Muammar al-Megrahi, to escape North Africa and live in exile in Mexico. Secretly exiled head of al-Megrahi’s Amazonian Guard, Major Ellmeera Majang, Australian marine biologist Doctor Nicole Brandon, and retired investigator John Bolt have settled into their new business partnership. General Waleed al-Warfalli, the late Colonel al-Megrahi’s top covert agent, assassin and major political power broker in North Africa, discovers that the late Colonel’s exiled wife, Saif Megrahi’s mother, has dispatched assassins to kill Ellmeera in an act of jealousy and vengeance. He warns Ellmeera but she decides to neither elude nor eliminate her hunters. So as not to compromise the new lives of non-violence she has achieved for the remaining members of her Amazonian Guard unit, she rejects any violent solution to her situation-an obvious option she would have chosen in her past life. Instead, she elects to proceed with a more selfless sacrificial resolution. But the two military-trained Iraqis who have taken the contract to assassinate Ellmeera also have their own secrets that make assassinating Ellmeera difficult, until General al-Warfalli strikes a treacherous deal with them. The Warrior’s Solution is the story of a woman warrior and her focused quest to secure freedom and equality for women in her unit as they adapt to a peaceful life in Mexico-a life that is so different from the cultural and violence-supported misogyny in North Africa from where they have escaped.
