Message for Parents: The first objective of this book is to provide reading material for parents that is suitable for their child’s level of development. Five or six stories or poems should be sufficient. Patient parental guidance is necessary. Especially, review the punctuation definitions. The second objective is to provide a place in the book for the students to write words they learn to spell. Parents can help by looking through the stories and lessons for suitable easy-to-spell words. Every story will have three or four words for easy spelling. Later, the third objective is to choose a clever poem or short story that your child will enjoy reading. If this finally requires the funny papers or a comic book, that is your decision. Nevertheless, when parents make reading a meaningful “for fun” activity at home, there children have the greatest opportunity to become excellent readers. However, if you notice hearing or vision problems, or problems of dyslexia (spatial impairment) tell your child’s homeroom teacher. SPM
