Freshly single and newly unemployed, thirtysomethings Sally and Gretchen are bored out of their minds. It’s the second decade of the not so new millennium, and they have nothing to show for it. Living in your mom’s basement suite in suburbia isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and they resort to searching for life in the oddest of all places: obituaries.But obituaries, it turns out, are a gateway drug. Before long Sally and Gretchen make the unnatural leap to crashing the funerals of strangers. What starts out as morbid curiosity soon becomes outright fascination as they peek inside the lives of others, mobsters and puppeteers alike. However, it’s not until the death of a soda mogul that they become truly entangled in a dead man’s affairs. Hot on the trail of his would be heirs, they find themselves in The Bahamas on a working vacation of sorts...if amateur sleuthing counts as work.In their misguided search for murder, mystery, and money, Sally and Gretchen encounter mayhem above all else. Whether they or the dead man have a better chance of making it out of The Bahamas alive is anyone’s guess.
