The Day My Angel Got His Wings is a story about Ross, a sweet five-year-old boy who tells us about his  visit with his grandma. Ross is happy because he loves his grandma and gets to stay up late to watch television and have his favorite treats, but he's also sad because his daddy got sick and went in an ambulance. He is sad and confused when his mommy explains to him that the doctors couldn't make his daddy better. He learns that his daddy has become an angel that will watch over him forever from heaven now. The Day My Angel Got His Wings is based on a true a story and is from the Heart-to-Heart Collective book series. It is dedicated to all the families that are healing through grief after the loss of a parent. This book is a great tool for parents to open conversations about death because young children will be able to relate to Ross' emotions and begin to open up about their own feelings and move forward.
