However, an unexpected turn in my journey led to my being featured in The Karate Kid, where I performed in the legendary tournament scenes and doubled for Pat Morita in the film’s iconic crane technique moment. A fact that was not credited or publicized for decades. This book chronicles my evolution from a young Kenpo Karate student to a martial arts master, offering a perspective that intertwines discipline, philosophy, and the pursuit of mastery. It provides an insider’s look at The Karate Kid-the making of the fight sequences, my interactions with the cast, and the lasting impact of the film on martial arts and pop culture.
