The successful implementation of environmental education programs within the formal education system and the extent to which it is adopted outside this sector is likely to depend on teachers with a good understanding of environmental issues, their desirable attitudes towards the environment in general and environmental education in particular and their commitment to act responsibly. Taking this into consideration, this study is conducted to assess the upper primary teachers’ awareness, attitude and practice of environmental education.
