Le thiophène et ses dérivés ont récemment attiré les chercheurs dans l’exploration de leur potentiel en tant qu’agents antioxydants (Madhavi et al., 2017). L’objectif principal des antioxydants est de neutraliser les radicaux libres, qui piègent les espèces réactives de l’oxygène, ce qui peut être très utile pour prévenir l’apparition et la propagation de maladies oxydatives comme les maladies neurovasculaires, auto-immunes et cardiovasculaires (Kotaiah et al., 2012). Le problème de la résistance aux médicaments et de la production de radicaux libres a incité les chercheurs à étudier et à explorer de nouveaux composés pour lutter contre les problèmes d’infection et les risques associés à la production de radicaux libres.
