Surfside 6 Behind the Scenes in Miami Beach Presents a close look at the popular 1960-62 television detective series starring Troy Donahue, Lee Patterson, Van Williams, Diane McBain and Margarita Sierra. In addition to a synopsis and production credits for each episode, the book includes biographical profiles of the five principal stars and the producers, short biographies of dozens of popular guest-stars, more than 100 photographs, an early draft of one of the show’s better known episodes, behind the scenes musings and memories from Diane McBain, and a special letter from Daphne Dutton, the series’ surviving character, bringing us all up to date with what happened to the crew of Surfsie 6, after the program ended. This book is not only for lovers of Surfside 6, but fans of Warner Bros. Studios’ classic television productions in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
