Este livro ajuda os investigadores e industriais que trabalham num novo Gerador de Indução duplamente alimentado (DFIG) baseado no Sistema de Conversão de Energia Eólica (WECS) que incorpora um Restaurador Dinâmico de Voltagem (DVR) e um Sistema de Armazenamento de Energia (ESS). O DVR está em série com o terminal de saída de um Gerador de Turbina Eólica (WTG) e paralelo à ligação dc do WTG com o ESS. O esquema de controlo do WECS é concebido para suprimir as flutuações da energia eólica e compensar as perturbações da tensão da rede, o que por sua vez melhora a capacidade de Fault Ride Through (FRT) e o nível de penetração da energia eólica. Finalmente, o desempenho deste WECS é investigado sob vários cenários de operação, tais como falhas simétricas e assimétricas da rede, e também, o sistema de controlo baseado em Algoritmos Genéticos é implementado usando o Software MATLAB/Simulink.
