This book investigates the shear strength of concrete beams reinforced with Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) bars, specifically Glass-FRP (GFRP), Carbon-FRP (CFRP), Aramid-FRP (AFRP), and Basalt-FRP (BFRP). Recognized for their high strength-to-weight ratios and exceptional corrosion resistance, FRP materials serve as sustainable alternatives to traditional steel reinforcement, particularly in aggressive environmental conditions. The book compares steel-reinforced concrete (RC) beams, with and without shear reinforcement, to FRP-reinforced beams.
