Science, Technology and Society (STS) studies, which have been taking shape in the US and some European countries for many years, are gradually attracting renewed interest in various places, especially in Brazil. Despite this - or perhaps precisely because of the degree of novelty still present - there is little specific bibliography - perhaps effectively none - on this new field in Brazil. The Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) has been active in this area, systematically publishing texts that clarify, disseminate, innovate, renew and advance CTS studies. This idea arose from the initiative of members of the OEI itself to broaden the scope of the fruits of this work, which until now have essentially only been available to Spanish speakers. With the translation of the originals - Science, Technology and Society: a conceptual approach - carried out by three professors from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC).
