The authorised translation of Dr Schenk's work outlining his theories concerning sex control of the embryo through the diet of the mother. Schenk was assistant Professor of Embryology at the University of Vienna but his theories earned him worlwide notoriety and the censure of the medical profession resulting in his resignation of his position at the university. This English translation was first published in 1898.
