Scanderbeg Or Love And Liberty: A Tragedy is a play written by Thomas Whincop in 1747. The play is set in Albania and revolves around the life of the Albanian national hero, George Castriot, also known as Scanderbeg. The play explores the themes of love, loyalty, and freedom as it depicts the struggle of Scanderbeg and his people against the Ottoman Empire. The play also features a love story between Scanderbeg and the daughter of an Ottoman general, which adds a romantic element to the tragedy. The play is written in blank verse and is divided into five acts.
