Why should we study Sangam literature?If we learn Sangam literature, it will be easier to read Thirukkural, Thevaram, Thiruvasakam, Divya Prabhandam, Aimperungappiyam and other literatures. Many stories, scenes, parables, thoughts and phrases in Sangam literature are found in the following Tamil literatures. “These songs are not only a testament to the great intellectual ability of Tamils. Many great books have been written by Tamil poets. But we know that Sangam literature is the best and foremost of all literary works.We can find the foundation of our Tamil culture in Sangam literature.
