Sally and Jim Build a House

A young married couple live in a small two-bedroom house. Some six years later and now with two children they decide that the house is becoming too small. They try and find a three-bedroom house but due to the high prices decide they cannot afford to move.Sally has an uncle who was a builder before he retired, so she asks him for some advice. He says the best way to get the house that they want is to build it themselves. This story is told from the viewpoint of how they find a building site and then, with Uncle Billy's help, go through each stage of building the house.All information described is based upon actual working practises and current planning and building regulations.
