S2000M, International specification for Material Management, is an international specification developed jointly by the AeroSpace and Defense Industries Association of Europe (ASD) and the Aerospace Industries Association of America (AIA). It is integrated with and forms part of the S-Series of IPS specifications.The S2000M specification defines the processes, procedures and provides the information for data exchange to be used for material management throughout the lifecycle of a product.Its purpose is to standardize the business relationship between two or more parties (eg contractor and customer) by providing the data elements, the process flow and the relevant transactions for data exchange.The specification S2000M is organized into the following chapters:Chapter 1: ProvisioningChapter 2: Spare Parts ListChapter 3: Material SupplyChapter 4: Communication TechniquesChapter 5: Data ModelChapter 6: Data DictionaryChapter 7: Definitions, Abbreviations and Reference Documents
