There is no universally accepted definition of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is one. It is a complex clinical presentation and is traditionally thought of as a triad of oligomenorrhea, hirsutism and obesity, and is now recognized as a heterogeneous disorder that results in overproduction of androgens, primarily from the ovary, and is associated with insulin resistance. Based on our study results it can be concluded that Commiphora wightii (Arn) resins has the potential role in dehydroepiandrosterone (DHE) induced polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) by reducing the abnormalities of the ovarian follicles and improving the normal hormone levels in adult rats than the immature rats.
