Unsere Studie war eine Gelegenheit, die Praktiken und Mechanismen zu bewerten, die zur Förderung des rationalen Arzneimittelgebrauchs in den Gesundheitseinrichtungen der peripheren Ebene eingeführt wurden. Der Grad der Sensibilisierung der verschreibenden Ärzte für den rationalen Gebrauch ist nach wie vor begrenzt. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die meisten von ihnen nur vage über den Begriff der rationalen Verschreibung und die Instrumente zur Unterstützung des rationalen Gebrauchs (EMG, Therapieformular) Bescheid wissen. Obwohl sie alle die PTS kennen, deuten einige ihrer Kritikpunkte am AMG auf einen Mangel an Ausbildung, Information und Sensibilisierung für das Konzept der unentbehrlichen Generika hin. Dennoch wurden seit 2010 mit Unterstützung der WHO einige Fortbildungen durchgeführt.
