Die vorliegende Arbeit versucht, die Interpretationen von Rafael Gutiérrez Girardot (1928-2005) in seinem kritischen Werk über den kolumbianischen Dichter León de Greiff zu ermitteln und zu klären. Obwohl Gutiérrez kein systematisches Werk über den Dichter hinterlassen hat - wie es bei Jorge Luis Borges oder Alfonso Reyes der Fall war - hat er zumindest mehrere Essays und Kritiken verfasst, in denen seine Entwicklung als Literaturkritiker und insbesondere als Kritiker der zeitgenössischen Poesie zu erkennen ist.
