The quetion of this book is whether anew non-materialistic science can becreated. The basic assumptions anddevelopment of science, including thatof twentieth century science areexamined. Another undertanding, leadingto the possibility of another kind offuture science is proposed. Consciousbeings, whose nature includes aspectscorresponding in a certain way to inner'soul' abilities of human beings, canbe understood as being presenteverywhere in the non-predictablesituations, discovered in the lastcentury, like those of quantum physics, those of sensitive 'chaotic' systems, living organisms, and even in the worldof eternal pure ideas, including thoseof mathematics. Such a conception alsohelps in the understanding of thenature of time. In scientificdiscoveries as in other twentiethcentury events, a threshold indeedseems to have been crossed. 3
