Nanopartículas (NPs) de prata, paládio e Pd-Ag bimetálicas foram preparadas por métodos convencionais e ultrassônicos. O método ultrassônico foi capaz de sintetizar NPs com distribuição de tamanho de partícula mais estreita. As NPs preparadas foram caracterizadas por diferentes métodos, como difração de raios X, microscopia eletrônica de transmissão, TEM de alta resolução, espectroscopia UV-vis, microscopia de tunelamento de varredura e análise de raios X de energia dispersiva. Foram preparados nanofluidos altamente estáveis em água destilada (DW) e etilenoglicol sem qualquer surfactante e foram medidas a sua condutividade elétrica e propriedades reológicas em diferentes frações de volume e temperaturas. Foram alcançados aumentos de 26,4 % e 31,58 % na viscosidade do etilenoglicol a 20 °C para os nanofluidos de 5 % de prata e 5 % de NPs de Pd-Ag, respetivamente. Um aumento de 3975% na condutividade elétrica da DW a 50 °C foi alcançado para o nanofluido contendo 2% de Ag. Aumentos de 7567% e 3841% na condutividade elétrica da DW foram observados a 25 °C para os nanofluidos de 1% de Pd e 1% de Pd-Ag NPs, respetivamente.
